Hi Mike, nice to meet you. I've only ever gone as far west as Winnipeg in Canada. Most of my traveling is out of the country to Europe or the US. Isn't that usually the way, though? Canada is vast, and one day, I will definitely make it out to BC. Thank you for the question!

I don't believe in it. The mind gets tired because it's a muscle, like every other muscle in the body. To re-energize, listen to music, read, run, scream, but don't use 'writer's block' as an excuse. Push through.

Be persistent and keep learning. There is a long line of brilliant writers nobody has heard of because they gave up too soon. Talent is important, but tenacity even more so.

Poetry inspires me. My favourite contemporary poet is Charles Bukowski because I love his raw, sensual style. It's how I want my fiction to be.
