She entered the house through the front door. She never came out.

I would love to travel to Rohan in Middle Earth (Tolkien's Lord of the Rings) and be a shield maiden.

Well, I'm in Australia, so for me it's a winter reading list, but the answer is quite a few. I am currently finishing a couple of NetGalley reads, but after that I have sixteen print books awaiting me. These are a mix of non-fiction (history) and fiction, and the latter category includes fantasy, historical romance and literary fiction.

I'm not sure I have a lot of personal mystery upon which to draw. Maybe the reason for my epic, late-blooming fangirl geekiness?

Thanks, Jayne, I'm so glad you enjoyed The Ragnarök Chronicles.
To answer your question, I have no immediate plans to pen more in this series. However, if a good plot idea comes to me in the future, I would consider it, as I loved writing Loki and Cassandra.
I have used Loki (though not the same Loki from TRC) as a character in two short stories. One isn't available at present, but you can read the other one for free on my Tablo page: https://tablo.io/nicki-j-markus-asta-...

That's a hard one. I love Adele and Gareth in the Vampire Empire series by Clay & Susan Griffith and, of course, some of the great couples from the classics: Elizabeth and Darcy, Jane and Mr Rochester, 'I' and Max de Winter etc. Picking just one would be impossible!
In my own works, my favourite MM couple would be Saul and Tom from Souls for Sale (Asta Idonea) and for my Nicki J. Markus pen name, Cassandra and Loki in The Ragnarök Chronicles.

Hi Mark. Sorry for the late reply... I only just spotted this one sitting here.
Scariest books? Hmm. I don't read a huge amount in the horror-genre these days, but in my teens I was a big Stephen King fan. His novel "It" did have me cowering under the sheets when the lights went off. Also, "Gerald's Game" was rather freaky.

I've always loved books, and from a young age I wanted to write my own. That desire never left me, but it was only in my mid-twenties that I really started to think about it more seriously.
I'd say I'm mostly a paranormal/fantasy writer, but I do dabble a little in historical as well and just lately I started branching into M/M under another pen name.

My main dream is to write something that others will love. But, the thought of one day walking into a bookstore and seeing my book on the shelf is also wonderful. Fingers crossed!

I often have a couple of works on the go at the same time. That way, if I feel lost with one, I can work on the other.

Being able to share all the mad stories in my head with other people.

Just write. You can worry about publishers and agents later. The most important thing is to hone your skills and keep on reading and writing, writing and reading. The more you read of others work, the better writer you'll become.

I have two current WIPs - a cyberpunk story and the first book in a fantasy trilogy. I am also waiting to hear back from the publisher on a short story I submitted for an anthology - fingers crossed!

I find it hard to make myself write on days when I am not 'feeling' it. But on days when I find myself full of ideas, I can't wait to sit at the computer and start typing. I am trying to train myself to write something most days, even when I'm feeling less creative, and I am getting better than that.
I am always most energized when a new idea comes to me and I am just itching to get it on the page.

My current WIP is still a secret, so I have to be careful how I answer, but I can say that it has a mythology angle and was inspired by some of the TV and films I have watched over the past year.
