Sorry, not my cup of tea. Not really a horror girl. I am more of science fiction/time travel girl.

That changes with my new interests but right now it would be to the world of Phryne Fisher's 1920's (the TV show's Jack Robinson is my favorite played by Nathan Page, though I do like Jack in the book.) I would try to be a small part of helping Phryne and Jack solve mysteries.

I always love to read as many books as I can. Right now I am reading a book called Murder on the Ballerat Train from Miss Fisher Murder Mysteries. I am re-reading a few books right by Agatha Christie, Dorothy Sayers and Ray Bradbury. I will be adding to my stack soon because I will be reading books from authors on Chatting With Sherri :)

Not from life but from Dad's I would like to find out what happened to his father after he left my Dad and Grandmother, I pretty know why he left but why he never kept in touch with my Dad. And what happened in his life.

Anything can inspire me, a snatch of conversation, something on TV, something that happens in the news. A lot of time I can inspired by a dream. You just have to open your mind.

It changes as I discover new wonderful stories. Right now it is Phryne Fisher and DI Jack Robinson. Because they are equal partners in detection, Best friends and a really lovely relationship. In the books is it is pure friendship. In the TV series it is romantic. Both are wonderful.

Hi Mary, thank you for the question. Yes, Murder Inc started as Uber fan fic of Xena and Gabrielle. When I decided to make it into a book I had change a lot of references to the show to make it completely original. I also added characters and changed the ending a bit. It was inspired from the show and it came from a day at the Mall and wondering what a Uber Xena would think of all the chaos of the Christmas holiday rush :)

My best advice for an aspiring writer is pretty simple. Write. If you love to write don't let anyone discourage you or tell you can't do it. I had a lot of that for different reasons from teachers growing up. On the other hand I had some wonderful teachers who saw raw talent and encouraged me. Of course I love them and I'm grateful to them. But I digress. Just write and get it out there. The best way is to submit to websites who ask for a story. That way you get feedback which is more valuable then money when you are starting out. Just write, and write and write.

I really don't stay with only one project. I am working on a few books at the same time. I switched it up when I get stuck, it is amazing that when you come back to a project after working on something else how many ideas flood your mind.
