Good evening, I thoroughly enjoyed your novel Under Color of Law. It was so well written and it captured Los Angeles and the Police Dept at the time with accuracy. I grew up in Southern California and your depictions were spot on. Will there will be a second novel to follow? I certainly hope so. Continued success to you. Jessica

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Aaron Philip Clark The inspiration for UNDER COLOR OF LAW came from my time in the police academy and my family members who are law enforcement officers (LEOs). I grew up around African American police officers and realized very early that their experiences in law enforcement were unique. While they were apart of a fraternity, the "Blue Lives Matter" branding didn't extend to them once out of uniform. I knew I needed to tell a story that encompassed the harsh and sometimes painful realities of being a Black police officer in America.
