It doesn't happen often but when it does, I clean or something crafty. LOL I'll organize closets, work on scrapbooks or even paint walls. My husbands not always thrilled when I do that. Thank you for asking.

I get to express myself with words but most importantly I get to live a dream I thought would never come true. I'm very blessed. Not many people can say that.

Don't give up and don't let other people bring you down. I'd had written dozens of stories in a thirty-year span but was terrified to put any of my work out there thinking it was not good. A sister and my mom pushed me into submitting one to a publisher. They got back to me within a week with a contract for the book. To say I was surprised was an understatement. LOL Sometimes, you will get rejected, all authors do at one point but keep putting yourself out there because your story will eventually get published even if you have to do it yourself. Stephen King's first story got rejected something like thirty times before it was published.

I am actually working on about three books at this time. I go back and forth. I've no idea how I don't get them totally confused but it's the way my brain works. I'm working on a few series I'm doing with other authors. One is called The Statesmen and the other The Coffee Shop Series. My Statesmen novel will be out in July of 2020 and the Coffee Shop story will be out in Aug 2021. Another book I'm writing is Lilah and Kaden's story. I do not have a title for that yet but I hope to have that out at the beginning of the year.

I started writing when I was a teenager. It started off putting my feelings down in journals but that grew into making up places and people I wanted to be. I had a rough childhood and it was my way to cope.

They are all stuck in my head. It seems like I've got hundreds of characters in my mind and all of them want out. LOL Very rarely do I see something that gives me ideas. I guess I've been storing them up for years. Thank you for asking.
