Hello! My name's Abby and so far, I'm really enjoying Storybound. I'm not done quite yet but it's really good! I read a hundred pages last night! So, my question: How did you come up with the plot? It's really interesting and unique, I love it! Where did the idea come from?
Marissa Burt Hi Abby! I'm just now noticing these questions, so I'm so sorry for the delayed reply! Thanks so much for reading Storybound, and I'm happy to hear you enjoyed it. I've always loved to read, and my favorite books are the ones that have settings you love to visit and characters that feel like friends - you know the ones you're a little bit sad to finish? So that became an idea: what if those characters continued on out there somewhere in the land of Story. :)

Dear Marissa, I have but one question. Why was there no kiss between Peter and Una. People like me and my crave for all those sweet, lovely moments but not too much like no siren, cleavage and etc. but a kiss would have settled our need. So why was their no kiss at the end. Now you have to go write a third book and squeeze in a kiss. PLEASE????
Marissa Burt haha! Well, I think Una and Peter were too busy with their adventure in these books to have romance on the mind. But now that Story is safe and they can return to their studies who knows what might happen? But then I often had a sneaking suspicion Una might have a bit of a thing for Indy...though I agree with you, in the end good friends make for the best relationships, so perhaps she'd end up with Peter after all. :)

Marissa, I finished Storybound in an hour. The next day I went to the library and borrowed Story's End and have just finished reading it. But I do have to ask, did you mean for Una and Peter to have some sort of romantic relationship ( if so I totally ship them ) or are they just strictly friends? Will there be a third book coming out ? Perhaps something along the lines of Story's Return ( just a thought ).

Are you going to write another book to go along with Storybound? If you aren't PLEASE PLEASE do, Storybound and Story's end were so amazing and it was such a cliff-hanger you left us on.
Marissa Burt Hi Bella! Thanks so much for reading! I'm so pleased to hear that you enjoyed STORYBOUND and STORY'S END. Right now, I don't have any plans for anymore books set in the Land of Story, but I'll definitely let you know if that changes! I'd love to write a book from Indy or a young Thornhill's perspective, so we'll see. For now, I'm working on THE LEGEND OF STARFIRE, which is a sequel to A SLIVER OF STARDUST due out this fall.

Marissa, have you had movie making offers yet for Storybound? I hope and expect this will be the case. Your work is truly amazing! Thank you for sharing your talents! Looks like you've taken the baton from C.S. Lewis :) I've just finished reading aloud your book to my eldest daughter (almost 9). We are eager to begin Story's End!!!

Yes, there has been film interest in the books, and the film option has been acquired. Of course, this doesn't necessarily mean a film will be made, but I sure hope so!
