There's inspiration everywhere--in a news report, in a family story, in an overheard conversation. Anything can create the kernel of a story and set my imagination creating a new story.

I either do something else for an hour or reread what I've written so far. The first relaxes me and the second gets my imagination going.

Good question. In addition to whichever I spy as they're released, Temple Secrets by Susan Gabriel, A Quiet Life in the Country by T.E. Kinsery, Kirsten Osbourne's River Ranch and Mail-Order Bride additions, Miss Julia Takes Over by Ann Ross, Happy Homicides 5: The Purr-fect Murder anthology, Brody by Paty Jager, the July Montana Sky Kindle World releases, Mischief in Montana by Pamela Kelley, Timeless Bond by Peggy L. Henderson, and any more I can squeeze in. I'm so glad I'm a fast reader because there are so many good books waiting!

If I wish, I can work in my jammies. My commute to work is nada because my office is off out bedroom. I can work any hours I wish without meeting anyone else's time schedule. Best job in the world.

Keep writing and reading. Find good critique partners if you can. Hone your craft. Don't let anyone steal your dream.

Currently I'm writing another western historical romance. I love the story and writing it is going as smoothly as a book can. The heroine is a spoiled brat, but she has a good heart. The hero is rather gruff with her, but he is a wonderful man. They have to work out a few knots before they can get together.

I wanted to write a book with Gabe Kincaid as the hero. While I was thinking about his book, the heroine, Kathryn "Katie" Elizabeth Worthington, appeared to me in the opening scene and one scene further along in the book. I love the heroine because she is spunky and feisty and won't be defeated. She is exactly the heroine Gabe needed.
