Not so much of a mystery, but an experience. I spent a short amount of time in East Turkestan (known as Xinjiang, China today) where I witnessed some of the most beautiful and horrific events of my life - from discovering the true meaning of happiness to helplessly watching a genocide unfold. I left just a few days before the region went into lockdown. I hope to write about what I saw one day, when I'm ready.
