The idea for my most recent book, Gotta Get It Back, came from my readers wanting more after reading my first novel, Gotta Let It Go. With all the drama occurring in politics, it was easy for me to place my protagonist in the middle of all the chaos. So, stay tuned for the sequel coming very soon!

Inspiration for me comes from a lot of different sources. It could be how I'm feeling about a situation, an incident that occurred on the news, a conversation I just happen to overhear (lol), a song, etc. When this happens, I grab my pen, a napkin/paper, my computer or my phone to record it all. So look around, inspiration is everywhere!

For all those aspiring to write, my best advice is simply to write. Make it a habit to write every day. It doesn't have to be anything elaborate as long as you're exercising your mind and those hands of yours. Also, you should read as much as you can especially books in the genre you're interested in as well as books about the craft of writing. Doing these two things will ensure that you'll be prepared for your writing journey!

I'm currently working on the sequel to Gotta Let It Go which is titled Gotta Get It Back. Preview: Deidre Hunter, former prosecutor is back in the game and this time her mentor, Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Robert Hart is murdered. We'll see how much trouble she gets into this time.
