It's not easy, I'm a visual person so many of my ideas start with an image I've seen. Primarily, my characters make their stories known when I accidentally run into them. Like Warrick. It took him five years to tell me where he was coming from.

The Duke and The Domina came from a few places, a Victorian ribcage shower, the horrific Norse execution of the blood angel, a poem written by my friend Tiffany Reisz and an image of a hot dude in a corset with no provenance.
