Hannibal Lecter and Clarisse Starling. I always saw Silence Of The Lambs as basically an old-fashioned love story with a bit of a cannibalistic twist, and the end of the sequel Hannibal confirmed it - in the book though disappointingly not in the film.

I've been writing the daily Beachcomber column in the Daily Express since 1998 as well as various other newspaper scribbles. Even More Things That Nobody Knows (the sequel to The Things That Nobody Knows) came out in November and I'm now wondering which of various writing ideas to pursue next.

I've never had writer's block. If I did, I think I'd make a cup of tea, sip it thoughtfully, then get back to work. That works for insomnia too. Come to think of it, a cup of tea cures almost anything.

I'm working on a sequel to my Things That Nobody Knows book called, with perfect accuracy, Even More Things That Nobody Knows. So I'm busy collecting 501 more questions to which the answers are unknown.
