Most importantly, don't let school define your talent. I left school at 16 with a C grade in English. I didn't know I wanted to be a writer back then. I only realised I could write well in my mid 20s. I'm now 33 and had my first book published.

J.P. Baker Ideas hit me like raindrops. Sometimes, a raindrop can hit me like a tsunami and I start fleshing out a new book. Currently I have four ideas for books that I want to work on.
J.P. Baker The Tide Over The Horizon was actually inspired loosely on The Legend of Zelda series, particularly Majora's Mask. Strangely, it was growing with video games as a kid that have inspired my writing the most.
