Most importantly, don't let school define your talent. I left school at 16 with a C grade in English. I didn't know I wanted to be a writer back then. I only realised I could write well in my mid 20s. I'm now 33 and had my first book published.

Ideas hit me like raindrops. Sometimes, a raindrop can hit me like a tsunami and I start fleshing out a new book. Currently I have four ideas for books that I want to work on.

The Tide Over The Horizon was actually inspired loosely on The Legend of Zelda series, particularly Majora's Mask. Strangely, it was growing with video games as a kid that have inspired my writing the most.
