L.M. Smith The pyre rose into the night sky, vermilion flames licking at the starless canopy of ink and cinder. Every book in the world was burning - and every author with them.
L.M. Smith I would absolutely go to Hogwarts and I would geek TF out. I would most likely make a beeline for the Ravenclaw dorms to see if I can solve the riddle to gain entry. I would also definitely want to see if I could ride a Thestral, eat a meal or three in the Great Hall, have tea with Hagrid, try a butterbeer at the Three Broomsticks, take up residence in the library, and leave a box of Lemonheads on Dumbledores grave. (Yes I know, he liked lemon drops but I think he would have enjoyed the American version of sherbet lemons too)
L.M. Smith Unfortunately, when this question was first asked, I didn’t see it so I can’t remember what was on my reading list for that particular summer, but I can’t tell you what has been on my reading list this summer. My husband and I started the summer off reading All Creatures Great and Small by James Herriot. It was his first experience with the book series and with the author, but it was probably my third read through of the book. We realized somewhere along the line through moving. I lost my copy of the second book in the series so we had to buy one on Amazon and while we were waiting for that to arrive, we started reading Bard by Morgan Llewellyn. I am currently working on book 4 in the Jazz Nemesis series so I don’t have as much time to read as I normally do because I’m more focused on writing and rewriting but that just means that my other TBR for the summer is my own book 4 as I go through the second and third rewrite before I turn it over to the editor.
L.M. Smith In all honesty, how my family went from comfortably upper middle class to homeless and pennyless in less than six months when I was 11 years old is a story that I have been chasing for years and would love to someday right.
