What are you currently working on?
Simone Nikkole I am currently working on updating my website, writing a new poetry book and a feature film. I occasionally revisit my poetic memoir. Stay tuned.

Hi there Ms. Simone, You have read and/or have a copy of one of the anthologies that might have my friend's poem noted. Would you be so kind as to see if my friend's poem is listed in Clouds across the stars / by the International Library of Poetry ; Noah Bevins, editor? What’s the best thing about being a writer?
Simone Nikkole Inspiring others. The opportunity to be yourself and to know that other people can relate to what you are expressing in your art is such a motivating comfort.

How do you deal with writer’s block?
Simone Nikkole I find other mediums of art that inspire me. I am now in school for screenwriting as I want to transform my poems into films. So for me, music and movies are my biggest tools to fight off writer's block. The other things I do is watch my friends' movies or plays, getting in their head and understanding their eye, gets me out of my head and frees up creative space.
