David Donaghe I don't believe in writer's block. There is good writing, bad writing and then there is editing. Editing makes bad writing better and good writing great. To me, writer's block is just another term for being lazy. If you are stuck in the middle of a story, keep plugging along. You can fix it during the editing process, or you can always kill off some of your characters or bring in some new ones. If you want to start a new project and you don't know what to write about, write about that. You could write a story about a frustrated writer that goes on a killing rampage. Putting words on the page will stimulate your imagination and the words will come.
David Donaghe Creating strange new worlds as well as people. I usually start with a basic idea and let the characters control it. Sometimes the story goes placed that I never intended to go.
David Donaghe Just write. If writing is your passion, then just write. Do not listen to what people say, do not tell yourself that you can't, because if you think you can't then you won't. Think positive thoughts and let your imagination run away with you because thought creates.
David Donaghe I am currently working on a paranormal Western titled The Mojave Kid. It is a prequel to my novel Tale Spinner
David Donaghe I don't have to get inspired to write. it's what I do and a part of who I am,
David Donaghe Ideas are floating around the universe. every now and then I get lucky and catch one.
