If you could travel to any fictional book world, where would you go and what would you do there?
Lyn Horner I would go forward in time to the Star Trek era. I love the original series, the sinoffs and movies. There have also been many books written based on Star Trek. I'd love to go exploring the universe with Captain Kirk, Mr. Spock and the gang.

What mystery in your own life could be a plot for a book?
Lyn Horner I have done quite a bit of genealogy research, always coming to a dead end with my three times great grandfather in my father's maternal line. Finding answers about this man could make an exciting plot for a book, especially if someone didn't want the answers found. Ooh, romantic suspense!

Lyn Horner Hi Elizabeth. Thank you for contacting me. Your work sounds intriguing. I also write historical romance, as well as romantic suspense, all with paranormal elements. (As in psychic characters and apocalyptic prophesies.) Happy endings are implicit in our genres, although in my current series, Romancing the Guardians, each book ends with a "happy for now" ending leading to a final conflict between good and evil in the final book. It's a juggling act!

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?
Lyn Horner Learn your craft. You can have the best, most imaginative story ever, but if you don't write it well, you'll have a hard time gaining fans.

Lyn Horner Giving life to the characters running around in my head.

Lyn Horner Hi Felicity. I don't really push my print books so, no, they don't make a difference in my sales. I wish!

How do you deal with writer’s block?
Lyn Horner I read favorite books, eat some chocolate and start scribbling. A hot bath often helps too. :-)

What are you currently working on?
Lyn Horner Capturing Gabriel (Romancing the guardians, Book Three). It's set in Colombia, in the mountains west of Cali.

How do you get inspired to write?
Lyn Horner Sometimes I listen to music, usually instrumental. I write every day, so mainly it's simply a matter of opening my laptop, reviewing the last few paragraphs I wrote the day before and moving on.

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Lyn Horner Decoding Michaela is the second book in my Romancing the guardians series. Since it's a continuation of the story, the ideas came from book one, Rescuing Lara.
