Rachel Walker Luckily I haven't suffered from writers block much. I'm hating the thought of it though. I suppose if it happened I'd walk away and give myself time, maybe even start something else. As I self-publish I don't have deadlines I have to meet and that means the pressure is off to a certain degree.
Rachel Walker Receiving comments from readers. Especialy the demanding ones that tell you who they want to hear about next. I receive plenty of comments through my FB page, https://www.facebook.com/Rachel.Walke.... I love to hear from you - the good and the bad (please be warned I often read then delete the bad)...
Rachel Walker Do it. Everyone has an imagination and most people can put that imagination in to words. If you want to write I would never tell you that you can't do it. If you wanted to climb mountains, swim oceans, or shave your head and die your eyebrows pink - these are your choices and make you who you are. If you want, try. Don't let anyone stop you doing what you enjoy. If you don't enjoy it, or begin to wain in your enjoyment, STOP.
Rachel Walker SPOILERS ALERT... CAREFUL - I'm currently extending what was initially an idea for a trilogy into a full series. I have ideas and beginnings for a book about Cole, Deana, Sonia and Jolene. The order I do these may switch depending on how I feel. Please keep reading and let me know who you'd like to know about next.
Rachel Walker I tell everyone I received a dare to write my first book. I did, it's true. Since then it seems to have bocome addicting. Now, it is the readers that inspire me to write more. You guys can be really demanding - please keep demanding...
Rachel Walker My imagination is warped along sci fi and paranormal lines. I think I read so much that I am constantly living another life in my head. The sister's story came to me through a dare. An author friend dared me to have a go at writing and as I pondered what to write, I found myself thinking automatically of a trilogy. I based the story in space because it gives my imagination more freedom as anything can happen. I've heard you need to write about either someting you know well, or something completely out of this world - as what I see outside my window doesn't inspire me I chose the wider universe to base my writing in. I hope you like it...
