I might consider writing a short story with some of the characters from What She Left Behind, but at the moment I don't have any plans to do a sequel. Another possibility would be to write a companion book featuring a different character - but no plans for that as yet. Thanks for asking!!

If you're not sure you should keep at it, try to stop. If you end up feeling nervous and uncomfortable, well, there's your answer - get back to work! And remember that the road to publication is long and dusty, full of twists and roadblocks. Treasure all the opportunities that you can find - critique groups, conferences, mentorships, contests. One day you will find the the path that leads you to where you were always meant to be.

My favorite part is seeing the cover art - seeing how someone else can turn the idea behind my novel into a picture! And I love seeing how different the foreign covers can be - for example, the American cover of What She Left Behind is so literal, the German so figurative, and the Chinese, downright frightening!
