Read the entire Hardy Boy series as a kid and always loved the mystery genre. Had a thought about the skills of Native Americans and their reputation of being expert trackers in the old west. Wouldn't it be interesting if a character could use those skills in a modern setting as a detective/private investigator to solve cases nobody else can solve? So I created Joseph "Tracker" Baptiste, a full-blooded Nez Perce' native, who is a PI, based in Seattle, and set him off on his first mystery, The Case of the Killer Sasquatch."
