A.K. Frailey Definitely, I'd head over to Hobbiton:) Probably spend time with Sam's family and putter around in the garden. Thanks for asking, Lilyyy.
A.K. Frailey I peeked in the oven—beheld my bread's demise.
Yeast in the wrong recipe will never rise.
A.K. Frailey This summer I read a lot of fun mysteries— The Tearoom Mysteries, a Guideposts series. I also read some interesting self-help insights from such sources such as Men Are From Mars and Womane Are from Venus. Now I am focusing on historical biographies—Alexander Hamilton by Ron Chernow, which at 700+ pages should keep me busy for a while...
Thanks for asking!
A.K. Frailey I'd like to travel to Hobbiton from The Lord of The Rings and visit the various Middle-earth villages and perhaps if I could find the way, stop in and see Tom Bombadil, visit with the Elves, and take a peek at Treebeard's old stomping ground. I wouldn't "do" anything in terms of planning out a list of activities; I would simply love to experience and learn what their worlds have to teach.

The imagination is a wonderful world in itself. Thanks for asking:)
A.K. Frailey Wow! This is a very creative question:) I could answer it on several levels: Literally, I have the on-going mystery of where the kids matching socks go in every load of laundry, the mystery of a missing beloved dog that disappeared one day, and the mystery behind impersonal hackers who once took down my website—for no reason I could discern.

On a more figurative level, I could delve into the mystery of my existence, the mystery of why some people cause great harm yet call it good, and the mystery of God in my life.

I'm sure that in any good story, we peek into many mysteries, even when we aren't writing a detective story because, in truth, much of our human journey is a mystery.

Thanks for the question—you really made me think! And before my first cup of coffee, too. Frankly, I wasn't sure it was possible.

God bless,
Ann
A.K. Frailey My favorite fictional couple could range from Sam and Rosie in The Lord of the Rings to Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy in Pride and Prejudice. In each case, the characters had to face their inner doubts/weaknesses and overcome a great deal to reach a place where love wasn't about getting but about giving.

Thanks for asking.
A.K. Frailey Great question! Mostly I get ideas from the people/situations around me. I change the personalities/name and the drama/conflicts a bit - but in actuality they are reflections of real people, painful struggles, honest questions, sincere disappointments and actual moments of triumph. Sometimes that gets tricky - when people recognize themselves...but since I mix things I can always honestly say that there is no one who is really copied - just reflected in some manner. Thanks for asking.
A.K. Frailey Read a lot, write a lot, be kind enough to do some reviews for other authors, & enjoy the process...
A.K. Frailey Being able to enter a new world and meet new people who seem real to you.
A.K. Frailey I just keep writing...
A.K. Frailey I am working on the final format for my YA novel, Georgios I, due to come out in the fall. I am also working with an editor on the sequel to Georgios I - Georgios II - and hopefully we will have that ready for the designer in late fall ready for publication before Christmas. I am currently writing a "futuristic" novel called, Last of Her Kind.
A.K. Frailey People and their incredible courage inspire me all the time. I am amazed by the enduring strength of a noble heart.
A.K. Frailey Last of her Kind is a story I wrote years ago and forgot - but a friend reminded me of it and asked me to work on it again. Now it feels right to pick it up. Timing is everything. I don't think I was "grown-up" enough to have written it well it the first time.
