Dan Ames Yes! And thank you! I don't have a release date for you, but Mary Cooper #4 is in the works.

Dan Ames Hi Jesse,
Souls of the Dead is in a bit of a limbo, although I hope to finish it early this year. Yes, I plan to keep going with the Circuit Rider, and I may have some solo adventures with Bird Hitchcock. Have you signed up for my newsletter? You'll hear right away when the new book is out.
Thanks,
Dan
Dan Ames Don't call me Shirley.
Dan Ames Hi! Yes, DEAD WOOD is available in paperback on Amazon and other bookstores online. Thanks!

Dan Ames Hi Jen,
Thank you for the question! To be honest, I'm not sure how I do it because it's not a conscious decision. In other words, I never ask myself, what would a woman say or do here. When I'm writing Mary Cooper, she's a real person to me and she just kind of takes over.
Dan
Dan Ames Yes, I was hijacked, but the account is now under control again. Sorry about that!
Dan Ames Hi,
Dani Amore was a pen name I used at the advice of my agent. I've now dropped it and have begun using my own name, although there are still a few stories out there with the Dani Amore name.
Dan Ames Thank you, Elaine! Almost all of my research for the book was done with people who lived through the events described in the book. Not ALL of the events are true, of course. But in this village, at that time, the term Germanesi is what was used. I'm not sure if it was technically derogatory or not. I also thought it was easily understood for non-Italian speakers. Thanks for your question!
Dan Ames Hi Tara - thank you so much for the question! I apologize for the delay. I didn't find the book difficult to write, mainly because I've been to that village in Italy in person, and I was able to speak with a lot of people (some of them family) and I heard their stories firsthand. It was a very enjoyable book to write and yes, I do want to write more. Thanks again!
Dan Ames Starting and finishing a book. It's the middle part that's a killer!
Dan Ames Write every day. Read every day.
Dan Ames The sequel to THE KILLING LEAGUE. As well as Episode Two of Room 729, and I'm outlining Book 3 in the Circuit Rider series.
Dan Ames An entire pot of coffee is all the motivation I need.
Dan Ames I get the idea for HEAD SHOT when I saw an interview with a famous actor. The actor said he gets approached on the street all the time by people who talk to him as if he is the character he portrays. I wondered what would happen if the wrong person made that mistake.
