Can you tell us a two-sentence horror story?
Sean Taylor A small girl in a red coat fetched a doctor to help save the life of her mother who was dying of typhoid. He saved the mother's life but then discovered that her daughter - who always wore a red coat - had died of typhod the day before!

If you could travel to any fictional book world, where would you go and what would you do there?
Sean Taylor I would love to travel to Tove Jansson's Moomin Valley. In fact, I'd probably end up staying put!

Who is your favorite fictional couple, and why?
Sean Taylor Tove Jansson's MOOMIN books were among the first stories to set me sailing properly into the magic of reading. So I will choose Moomintroll and his first love, The Snork Maiden, as my favourite fictional couple.

How do you get inspired to write?
Sean Taylor You're not inspired all the time. You have to humbly seek inspiration through thought, work and love of what you do.

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?
Sean Taylor Make sure you always have a notebook and a pen in your pocket. There are ingredients for stories and poems around us all the time. People let them slip by. Writers write them down.

How do you deal with writer’s block?
Sean Taylor I remember these words from British author Alan Garner's book The Voice That Thunders: ' I had never given much credence to the phenomenon of "writer's block". I was more inclined to think of it as "writer's impatience"...'
