When the plot is "stuck", there is always a reason. Sometimes, I go for a walk, have a coffee or just sit and think. I know the words will come if I'm on the right track. If I have taken the plot onto a dead end road, I go back and fix it.
If I can't fix it, the story is flawed. I scrap the draft and start again with a new story idea.

I spent the next five years researching all the available information on the events of that day including the 9/11 Report.
