I guess I'm "TikTok" famous now. I ocassionally get recognized when I'm out of the house, which is a very strange feeling. To be honest, I had a momentary breakdown over the whole thing, which is both funny and bizarre. I'm trying to figure out how write about for my next book.

I'm very interested in auto-fiction right now because the stakes seem to be so much higher than regular fiction. The characters are REAL PEOPLE and as such, are in much higher jeopardy than fictional characters in a made up story. It also interests me in how they find meaning in their day to day lives. I've been reading a lot of Sheila Heti recently, and she does this beautifully.

The most difficult stories to write, emotionally, were The Ghoul and Plague Upon Your House, because they forced me to confront parts of myself that I didn't like. That was very tough. When I perform it live, it really hits. But Swing and a Ms. was techically difficult to write because it took me 20 drafts or so before I discovered what the story was. Thanks for asking! In the bonus section of the audiobook, I go into more detail.
