I love writing romance! Every morning, after I've dropped my son off at school, I rush home to start writing. I've usually got the next scene mapped out in my head, so I don't suffer from writer's block. My only problem is not being able to type fast enough!

I'm currently working on an adventure romance set in the jungles of Africa. It's about a gorilla veterinarian. It's wonderfully romantic, but also filled with heart-thumping adventure. My advice for aspiring writers is to never give up. You'll get better with every book you write. Keep at it, even though the road is long.

I decided to set the book in the eastern Congo, in the middle of the jungle, as I wanted to place my heroine, who is a pampered socialite, in the harshest place I could think of. I'd read an article on life in the Congo recently, and thought that with the post-war struggles, the corruption and the hot, tropical conditions, it was the perfect place for her to find herself.
