Alyne Pustanio Whenever I encounter writer's block, I take a step back and engage myself in some other creative activity that I enjoy but which does not require a tremendous amount of concentration. For instance, I enjoy crafting and adding charm to my home with my creations; although these homespun works will never make a millionaire out of me, simply doing the work of creation helps to unclutter my mind. Gardening, cooking and trying new recipes, "junking" - such activities do not overburden my mind, and bring new ideas and inspiration to the forefront. The simple works of the hands are a great salve for the mind. Try it next time you're staring at that blank computer screen!
Alyne Pustanio Bringing characters to life and experiencing the story unfolding at your finger tips.
Alyne Pustanio Never give up! Even when it seems that life has other plans for you, and you feel you may have lost that native compass of loving to write, never give up. You will succeed!
Alyne Pustanio I am currently working on two manuscripts. This first is a compendium about the Roma peoples (Gypsies), their history and folklore, with particular attention devoted to modern-day live action role playing and how best to create an historically accurate Roma persona.

I am also crafting new works of horror and supernatural fiction for my second volume of Haunting Tales of Old New Orleans, "Under A Creole Moon."

Look for both these works in 2015!
Alyne Pustanio Folklore and legends are wound deeply in the history of my haunted hometown of New Orleans. The supernatural and unexplained thrives alongside the hectic pace of modern life in this old city, and the past is always waiting around the next corner or at the next doorstep. With icons such as the Voodoo Queen Marie Laveau, Madame Delphine Lalaurie, the original Dr. John, Bras Coupe the Zombie King, the Devil Baby, and Violette the Zombie Child peopling our legends, let's just say there is never any lack for inspiration. All these characters and many more are brought to vivid life in my Haunting Tales of Old New Orleans!
Alyne Pustanio My most recent book, "Risks Incidental: Supernatural Dangers of Paranormal Exploration" is the culmination of growing up in the midst of supernatural activity and working in the field of paranormal research as an Occultist. Paranormal exploration can be very dangerous, but far too many people don't stop to consider this before getting involved.
