Well, it's always nice to see the finished product, naturally... but then, there's all those 3am's where textural problems keep going around in your head and driving you mad. Sometimes, it's 3am when I wake up with this great idea and I have to get out of bed straight away and deal with it - 'cos if I don't I'll have lost the thread of it when I eventually wake up.

Panic! There is no easy way forward and I think one should begin by learning how to sell books for ten yrs before you start writing them.

I'm not sure really, I guess I've always had a bent to write, I just needed a good reason to start!

Well, originally I wrote a history book called "Our Gun" which revolved around the Anglo-Boer war and required around seven years of research to complete. The book came out well, but I realised that now I had seven years of research that would never be used again, so I decided to use my knowledge as a background for a novel. The result was "FORGIVEN."
