Diamond Drake I honestly don't know yet! I've been in a bit of a reading slump but I hope to find a few of those can't-put-it-down books soon!
Diamond Drake Sadly, I would have to say the death of my little brother. For months there were searches for his killer. It was devastating to learn that the killer was in our midst and our home the entire time!

Diamond Drake When it comes to writer's block, I just let it pass. Trying to force myself to be creative when I'm not has never worked for me so I let it run its course. It's definitely not fun, especially when I have a deadline to complete a book. I've had to ask for extensions plenty of times but I'd much rather do that than to throw something down on paper and then regret it after publication.
Diamond Drake Being able to evoke emotions from readers with my words is the best part of being a writer, for me. The ability to touch people and make them love AND hate characters or situations makes it all worthwhile.
Diamond Drake My advice to new writers would be to keep themselves open to feedback and use it to hone their craft.
Diamond Drake I'm currently splitting my time between two books--a sequel to Love's Fool and Love's Choice which will introduce readers to a cast of new characters.
Diamond Drake Even as a child, writing was the only way I could really express my feelings. It was a safe way to release and grew into a way of being creative. My first grade teacher used one of my stories as an example for the entire class and their reaction sparked that desire to see my name on a back of a book one day.
Diamond Drake A woman called the radio station with a problem for the "daily dilemma" segment of the show and my mind went into overdrive! Not long after, characters began introducing themselves to me and I had a complete storyline built around the one question she asked . . . "Is an emotional affair better or worse than a physical one?" From that, Love's Choice was born!
