Many years ago, I was driving around with a friend and we got on the topic of truth and the existence (or possible non-existence) of Absolute Truth (we weren't stoned, I swear!). Years after that I was getting ready for work and an acronym for T.R.U.T.H. came to me (kind of like The Man From U.N.C.L.E.) and it just took off from there.

It's tough sometimes. But I find that the more I write, the more I want to write because as something takes form, it gives me more to work with and it starts to feed itself.

I just released an e-book called The Seeker and I'm in the process of formatting the manuscript for the print version (which should be available any day now). You can find a link to The Seeker on my website at http://DeFlipSide.com. As soon as the print version is finalized and available, I'll post them here on my Goodreads author page as well. More Seeker stories are in the hopper, and I'm working on another time travel SF book.

Keep a realistic perspective on it all. Don't ever count on your writing to make a living. Get a day job and set yourself up with some security and enjoy your life a little. The writing needs to be its own reward. Be diligent, develop your craft and produce work that you can be proud of. If you (a) sell it and (b) it finds readers, then you can just have that many more blessings to count. But writing owes you nothing.

So many things. But what I like best is when I'm done with a project and preparing to get it out there. Tweaking the manuscript, formatting it for e-book and print versions, working with my cover designer to bring everything to life. It's just a rush, and makes the sometimes thankless task of writing all worth it.

I don't. I'm a journalist and TV producer and my job requires me to write every day. I also write and produce a monthly radio show and I'm constantly generating content for my website (book reviews and other articles in addition to the radio show). So if I'm feeling stuck on something, I just write other stuff until it gets unstuck. It helps to work on a couple of different fiction stories at once, too. Switching gears helps prevent stagnation.
