This is such a difficult question. I want to go everywhere, from Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice, to Narnia and of course Hogwarts! There are too many amazing worlds to pick just one.

I want to finish the Mistborn series, at least as far as it's been written. I also want to reread Wilkie Collins's The Moonstone. I have a long list of mermaid books I'm excited to try!

The mystery of the lost shoe... something about goblins or shoe eating monsters that live under the couch. The mystery of the missing double sided tape. Some fairies have stolen it so that they can use it to attack the goblin horde that they're fighting in the floorboards. That is the only possible explanation. What a sticky situation!

This is SO HARD!!! So many incredible romances in fiction. Two spring to mind at once. Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth Bennett. Of course. Do I need to say why? Witty dialogue, of course. Who has better lines, finer wit and subtle flirting than those two? I can't think of anyone. The other example I thought of was Mr. Rochester and Jane Eyre. Because he needed her more than she needed him. And he was insane. Who else dresses up like an ugly old woman just to make a someone fall in love with him?

I got the idea for my most recent book, out? Watergirl. I went to the aquarium and almost fell into the manatee tank and there was this girl walking around in flip flops, in february complaining how cold she was. My friend talked about a Japanese mermaid myth on the way out, and Watergirl sprang to life, roaring and sputtering.

I think, "Hm. I could do the dishes or write. I think I'll..."
Also, I have these people who aren't real in my head telling me lines. Over, and over, and over, inane lines that I have to fit into some kind of world. I resent it. I really do. I want good, great lines, but they're always like, "You are the most beautiful creature in the world," or, "I can't do this," Oh yes. In their voices, whiny, sullen, sulky or pragmatic. Sometimes with exotic accents.

Getting dressed every day. It's a work in progress. In writing stuff, I'm charging through a first draft of my last book in my first series. EEEK! It's so fun. I love first drafts. They're the most fun and the least readable.

Get an accounting degree. Also, getting an english degree doesn't make you a writer. Other than that, you can't be a writer if you're afraid of writing. Truly, writing can terrify even the bravest pen holder/keyboard tapper.

Pyjamas. Also bathtubs without pajamas, but my husband always lectures me about taking electronics into the tub. I like to live on the edge.

I write. Bad, terribly very awful stuff until it works out of my system. Zombie bats. Lots of zombie bats.
