I'm a big fan of Loreena McKennit, and her music has been a huge creative inspiration for me over the years. I don't tend to listen to music very often when I write, but when I do it's usually instrumental mood pieces that match the tone of the scene I'm working on. I've definitely played Michael Kamen soundtracks a few times when I need a real swell of emotion!

Editing and publishing my Book of Roses series, which currently consists of three main novels and two shorter standalone books. Barring any unforeseen disasters, they'll all be published by the end of 2024.

Learn how to tell a good story. Eloquent prose, sizzling dialogue, stylistic verve, and even spelling and grammar are all things you can slowly improve at over time, but they're no substitute for a narrative that gets its hooks into readers and doesn't let go.
