Mark Petry I love books that have a great surprise ending. I think of something that I would like for an ending, then I work towards that end.
Mark Petry Just started my 3rd novel, Solitaire. The ending is tremendous. Now I just need to write 300 - 400 pages before I reveal it!
Mark Petry Commit to one idea, which is a challenge to anyone creative enough to pursue this endeavor. Mark Petry It's more a question of commitment. If I commit to spending an evening writing then I don't have a problem with coming up with something. What helps is I write my first draft with a pencil, so I'll usually just start with something (anything) and somehow once I start I can keep going. Even if I end up erasing that first sentence.
