Alan McCluskey Hmmm! As an inspirational writer I have to be attuned to the characters and what is happening in the story. When I get disconnected I can't write satisfactorily. So the trick is to get back into the mood of the story which I generally do by reading over the story (or part of it) up to the point where I left off.
Alan McCluskey I would call myself an inspirational writer, that's to say I let the characters and the situations inspire what I write. I rarely have a plan for the whole book.
Alan McCluskey In Search of Lost Girls is the sequel to Boy & Girl so part of the idea for the book was suggested by the previous one. But mostly the ideas were suggested by the characters themselves. I had not planned to write a sequel but the character insisted I continue the story.
