I sit on my patio in my back yard and watch nature in action. I close my eyes and listen to the sounds, feel the breeze, the sun, pet my cat. I am inspired by God's creation.

When my oldest granddaughter was about two, I started pretending I had tickle bugs on the ends of my fingers. She never tired of this.
When her little sister was old enough, the older sister passed this game on to her. I live 13 hours away. One day I received a phone call from the younger granddaughter asking me if I could bring some tickle bugs the next time I visited.
This prompted me to write the children's book The Legend of the Tickle Bugs.
