Teddie Peacock pretty much anything by Elin Hilderbrand. I've tried reading Moby Dick three times on summer vacations at the beach. Even the beautiful ocean scenery did not inspire me- even though of course, Moby Dick is just such a classical literary piece.

During the summertime I like light, easy, uplifting reading. Does anyone out there have some good suggestions for me?
Teddie Peacock The little me would immediately say Narnia. I so loved everything about that series and still do. Anytime I'm in an antique or vintage shop, I always open all of the wardrobes- to see if I can get to Narnia.

The adult me would say the world of the Outlander series. Fraser Ridge (Blowing Rock, and Boone NC) are two of my favorite this century, real life places.

I'm visiting Scotland for the first time this summer. Many of my earlier ancestors came from Scotland, that explains many things! As much as I love the idea of Outlander world; I truly hope that I do NOT get transported back in time when I visit Scotland like Claire Fraser. I am not Early Scotland/France/USA heroine material. I just like our 21st C. comforts way too much!
Teddie Peacock Actually, not my own life it was pretty ordinary but my husband’s childhood could be an entire mini series. He had a very colorful and untypical growing up experience full of mysteries - And that’s all I’m allowed to say!
