How do you deal with writer’s block?
Tom Ashwell What's that? OKay, I know what it is, I just never get writer's block. Seriously. I have too many ideas to even list before I die. Why would I have writer's block? However, I would imagine that taking a break, and doing something completely un-related to what you are writing helps. Well, that's what some other writers tell me anyway. If all else fails, there's coffee.

What’s the best thing about being a writer?
Tom Ashwell Having the power of "God" over your characters...Mwuhahahaaa!!
Um, actually they look on people's faces as they light up when they meet you and tell you how much they enjoyed your work. Happy fans make it all worth while. Oh and royalty checks don't hurt either. ;)

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?
Tom Ashwell As my editor says "Put quill to parchment!" in other words, write write write. If you don't write, you can't get anywhere. Do not let anyone convince you to stop. If you really want to do this, don't let others stop you. People often try to get you to fail. The more you write, the better you should get. Just don't give up.

Tom Ashwell "Things That Go Bumping The Knight", "Penguin on my Shoulder" spinoff series, "The Pantherion Chronicles" another spinoff series, "That's Just Wrong!" (TV show), some movie ideas and a number of short stories.

How do you get inspired to write?
Tom Ashwell I read Robert A. Heinlein and he seemed to think like I did. So, I started writing down short stories as ideas came to me and went from there.

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Tom Ashwell Steampunk and dragons are popular, and I like them. They also fit into the theme of the series, so I combined the two and I like the result. "Things That Go Bumping The Knight" should be out in early 2015
