L.A. Lewis I honestly don't remember where the idea for my recent book came from. I think it was from a conversation I was having with a friend.
L.A. Lewis I always knew writing came easy to me, but I wasn't inspired to write a story until I wrote some short stories for a new curriculum we were using in our district. Writing those stories jumpstarted something in me and I didn't want to stop writing.

L.A. Lewis My advice for aspiring writers is to write all you can and read as much as you can. Don't worry about how it sounds or editing when you're writing. The first draft is just to get the story out of you.
L.A. Lewis The best thing about being a writer for me is having the ability to escape real life for a while. Things can sometimes become too much and I need an outlet. Writing is my outlet.
L.A. Lewis I deal with writer's block by reading. Whenever I read, my mind always open to ideas I can use in my own story.
