My favourite book is Il Taglio Del Bosco - the Woodcutter - by Italian writer Carol Cassola. It's quite short and very beautiful. It is about a group of lumberjacks in Italy, one of whom is crippled by loss and grief. It is set in Tuscany in the run up to World War Two. I'd love to live that life.
