Hi Michael. After Sullivan was arrested his burner phone was confiscated and the text messages he had received were analysed. All had been sent from the same burner phone presumably belonging to Sullivan's informer but one text was from Gallagher giving Sullivan the heads up on the attack in the Park. How did Gallagher have access to Anderson's burner?

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?
Michael O'Toole It is hard, but the only way you will be a writer is...if you write. Find the time. Put words on a paper. Write evcen 100 words a day, It will soon add up.

What’s the best thing about being a writer?
Michael O'Toole The sense of achievement that you get when you finish a book, Lots of people want be writers and doubtless have good stories in their heads - the hard work is getting it onto a page.

How do you deal with writer’s block?
Michael O'Toole There is only one solution and that is to write through it. Put words on a page. You can always come back and edit.

If you could travel to any fictional book world, where would you go and what would you do there?
Michael O'Toole My favourite book is Il Taglio Del Bosco - the Woodcutter - by Italian writer Carol Cassola. It's quite short and very beautiful. It is about a group of lumberjacks in Italy, one of whom is crippled by loss and grief. It is set in Tuscany in the run up to World War Two. I'd love to live that life.

What mystery in your own life could be a plot for a book?
Michael O'Toole I have had a great underworld source for more than a decade. The information they give me is grade one. But I've never met them and have no idea who they are.

How do you get inspired to write?
Michael O'Toole Get off the sofa and write. Everyone has a book in their head - the hard part is getting it from your head onto the page. Just write.

What are you currently working on?
Michael O'Toole I'm working on a sequel to Black Light. It is another crime thriller set in Dublin.

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Michael O'Toole The idea for Black LIght came from my career as a crime reporter. It is not based on any one story I have covered. But there are thousands of vignettes and incidents from my career that I have knitted together to form the story. I made it as realistic as possible.
