There were too many unanswered questions about my own bloodline. No one would answer my questions so I started to make things up.

A sweeping tale of generations of a dysfunctional family spanning a hundred years and three continents. I'm soon to start the last draft. I'm in love with my characters, my setting and my story. I hope the readers will be too but I worry that it is too different from my first novel. That's a chance many authors are afraid to take. Reading, and day dreaming, and doodling, and doing obscure research on odd, disparate ideas and subjects, and being in my head, and wasting time, having imaginary conversation with people who don't exist or are dead. I think of my plot and characters all day long, so when the time comes to sit at my desk I face by computer sceen and type away the ideas and dialogues that have surfaced in my head throughout the day. So yes, I'm big on daydreaming, on long walks and drives around town. That's when my creative juices flow the best. Solitude is crucial to me so that I have the brain space to pay attention to my ideas.
