Yes, I will start writing The Tangle Valley Romances (set on a vineyard in Oregon) in the next few weeks. Look for them to start releasing next summer!

Beautiful Dreamer was my next release following Seven Shores and it came out in July (2019). I have Back to September coming up in November 2019 and then a new three book series set on a vineyard will debut in March 2020 with the second installment in July, and the third November. Looking forward to a great year ahead!

Not one particular person, no. But I think I took some of the best qualities of many individuals to make someone sweet, whimsical, and still fashion forward. She was one of my top two favorite characters to write, because honestly, the sky was the limit. She didn't come too many character limitations, simply because she's so open to experiences and to other people.

Thank you so much! The characters I write are generally combinations of people I meet, but never based on one person specifically. I'm also a sucker for the good old fashioned romantic tropes I grew up reading and those sometimes lend themselves to certain character types: the ice queen, the girl next door etc... I have a good time with it! - M.

Hi, Marie! I definitely think there will be more books that connect. I like placing the characters and stories that I write all in the same universe. Every book I've written has connected in at least some small way to to another book. The connection in Strawberry Summer, I will say, is the hardest to spot by far! However, there is one tiny detail there that ties it in - but I'll warn you, it's very hard to find. :)

I'm currently late into the editing process for Eyes Like Those, the first book in the Seven Shores Romance Series. It takes place in LA/Venice Beach and surrounds a TV writer and her Executive Producer. That book will be released this October (2017). Alongside that, I'm currently writing Hearts Like Hers, which is book #2 in the series with a release date of February 2018.

It's a possibility, but that would require a outside publishing company to purchase the rights to the Portuguese version of a given book from my publisher, doing the translation, and then publishing the book. Waiting in the Wings was released in Spanish, so it could definitely happen. Thanks for the question. - Melissa

I would love to have the Soho books released in Spanish. With Waiting in the Wings (Entre Bambalinas), an outside publishing company (in this case, Editorial Egales) purchased the rights and published the translated book. Perhaps they'll be interested in doing the same with Soho at some point. I hope so. :)
