Angel Orengo There were many days that we simply sat there and nothing flowed. Those days, I was kind and gentle with myself. I kept sitting down and discussing the story, and finding new angles, and waiting... We did other things, like strategize, write general notes for direction, or went on to experience other things that we wanted to write about. But we always made time to write, even if it was not related to the novel. Then there were days when it just flowed, and flowed, and flowed. I celebrated those days too!
Angel Orengo I can only tell you what is the best thing about being a writer of The Orchid: The Secret Code of Modern Goddesses and that is.... It is absolutely wonderful to be able to say that I am helping people connect with their love and power through a wonderful story whose only focus is that - to help you uncover the love that already is inside of you. I am a writer, and I spread Love in the world. How cool is that!!
Angel Orengo I think it is the same as I would tell any person truly aspiring to anything... Follow your heart. Dont listen to anything else or anyone else other than your heart. You have all of the answers to all of your questions inside of you. There is a reason why you are being driven and guided to write. Ask yourself why? and if you like the answer, to that question, then do it.

Allow yourself to be led by the magic of creativity and create the world you want to create, and tell the story you want to tell.

No one can tell that story the way you will tell it, because you are special and one of a kind.
Angel Orengo Right now all of our time is going to promote the book. We are a small team of two, with a few people supporting us in different aspects of our process. Social media, PR, contacting people, etc. But all we are doing is getting the word out that The Orchid: The Secret Code of Modern Goddesses is available in major platforms and from what we are hearing, is already having a strong effect on those who reading it.
Angel Orengo It was new to me. But it started with the idea that we had something important to tell. Something that was changing our lives for the better, and we wanted others to know about it. Then, we simply made time to sit in front of the computer. Sometimes it flowed. Sometimes it didn't, but the commitment to the overall idea and project was strong, so we kept at it. One of the best advice I got from various sources was --- write, write, write. Just write. Dont read, it, dont correct it, just write. When you have enough, then start looking at it.
Angel Orengo The Orchid was born from my and my wife's personal experience. After the pandemic, like many, we were drawn to make changes in our lives. We started taking courses, and doing a lot, a lot, of introspection. We also read many self-help books. That led to significant growth, and many positive changes in our lives. As we started observing those changes, how we each were becoming better people, how our marriage was improving, how our daughters were also positively changing, even my 74 yo mother was changing her life... we knew we were on to something special, and we wanted to share it. My wife said, let's do a tv show about this (we both have some tv experience from previous jobs) and I said, yes, but before, let's write a book.
