Francis DiClemente I would like to travel to the LA noir world of Raymond Chandler, in the time period of the 1940s. If I was there, I would like to be a Hollywood screenwriter living in a small California bungalow.
Francis DiClemente I don't feel qualified to give any advice, as I still consider myself an aspiring writer. However, I think it's helpful to experiment writing across genres, fiction, poetry and nonfiction, until you find the one that feels right, that fits your unique voice. I also think it's important to not self-edit while trying to write a first draft. Let it all come out in the first go-around, and then sort it out and make sense of it later when you revise the manuscript.
Francis DiClemente I am currently working on a memoir and a full-length poetry collection.
