Ruth A. Casie I’m a bit late in answering—thank you for this beautiful question.

After my mother passed, I inherited the Bible that had always sat on her nightstand. Inside, tucked between its pages, I found a letter. A love letter.

But it wasn’t in my father’s handwriting. His was a distinctive doctor’s script—this was something else entirely.

She never spoke of it. I don’t know who wrote it or when. It remains one of those quiet, unresolved mysteries that stays in your heart.

And yes… I think it may inspire a story one day. After all, love and secrets are two of my favorite things to explore.
Ruth A. Casie This story was sparked by a line whispered in my mind. “Even villains deserve a second chance.” That grew into a tale of redemption, trust, and a love that defies even the darkest secrets. And yes, a few sword fights helped too.
Ruth A. Casie A close friend wanted to write a romance novel. I thought I'd help as her critique partner. One thing led to another. I finished my own book while she trained for the NY marathon. I enjoyed writing so much that I just kept on going.
Ruth A. Casie Im working on two projects. One is the continuation of my Druid Knight Tales. I'm finishing he second book and have outlined the third. These stories are include druid knights and time traveling sorceresses.

The second project is a new series about a renowned art appraiser who stumbles upon a way to time travel and a system security executive whose job it is to stop time travel. She creates a company that guarantees the provenance.
Ruth A. Casie Don't stop at the first book. As soon as it's done start the next one. It takes an inventory of stories to be sustainably successful.
Ruth A. Casie The best part is when your writing and your characters take over. I love when they say or do something that I knew nothing about.
Ruth A. Casie There are a few techniques I use to get past writer's block. 1) Get up from my desk and move around. 2) Try writing the scene from another POV. 3) Text my critique partners for a quick venting. When all else fails.... eat chocolate!
