Brandon M Miller Thank you for the question! I’m glad you enjoyed the book. These characters have a strong connection to my life. When I wrote the book, I didn’t realize it, but each main character represents some part of me, except for Lone Wolf.

Like Daniel, I had a small stuttering problem when I was younger, so I understand the insecurity that comes with it. I also grew up in a Christian home and understood the importance of morality, just like Daniel.

James is the typical “cool guy” who is unpredictable, wild, and free. He’s the kind of person that many high school boys want to be, including me. However, having a strong family structure and the fear of God kept me out of a lot of trouble.

Maisey is a special character. She’s spunky, full of fire, sassy, and impulsive. She’s the type of girl who drives boys crazy, just like in the book. She knows right from wrong but constantly has to control her own nature.

But the main thing that connects me to these characters is my understanding of the power of God’s will in one’s life and the power of evil that tries to stop it. The flesh is a powerful weapon that must always be controlled, and this theme is prevalent in Sundering Hearts.

Thank you so much for your support.
