Sean Cronin I do not believe there is 'writer's block.' There is laziness, fear, confusion, and distractions.

Sean Cronin I'm plotting out my new Breken Annersen mystery. For me plotting means letting my mind work unfettered. So I don't do treatments or outlines. I let Breken talk to me, see what comes.

2. Rarely my protagonist Breken Annersen says, 'get off your butt, we have fun adventures to write and horrific crimes to solve.' And I do what what she says.
Sean Cronin In part from my son, who's a reporter. My protagonist Breken Annersen is a woman reporter for an international gossip magazine. Much of the background on her job is taken from my son's real life work.
In part Breken just came to me. She's a wonderful companion. Yeah, sounds silly. True, however.
