The Zyne books are all in the same world, but my vision is to have a series of stand-alone romances and the Skydancer (romantic but not romance) happening concurrently. There may even be some crossover, with Legacy romance characters appearing in later Skydancer books. ;)

Read. Read a lot. Read in your genre, and read outside the box. Most writers were readers first, so never stop reading and filling that well. The other advice is to work on craft - like, actually study it. Constructing a story that pulls the reader through 300 pages is an artform, and it takes practice, and it takes skill sets that none of us are magically gifted with from birth. So read everything you can on plot, structure, character, pacing, hooks, etc.

I plotted TTAWH in one day at a Mary Buckham "Break Into Fiction" workshop. It has always been my plan to write the Skydancer series (which is romantic but not romance) and then compliment it with stand-alone romances set in the same world (because I love my Zyne witches!). Now I'm actually thinking there might be a possible cross-over storyline later on.

I'm a visual person, so movies inspire me, and also... I don't know what I did before Pinterest. It has changed. my. writing. life. So, for me it's imagery. Or else, the most inspiring thing for me is reading. When I read a really wonderful book, I'm just busting with inspiration to write my own.

I'm currently working on my Skydancer witch series. I hope to have the next two books out by Spring of 2018 and I'm only about 1/3 into the 2nd one, so I need to get cracking. Which is totally why I'm here on Goodreads instead.
