Hi Kathie, So glad you're enjoying Robert and Kirsty's story. Storm Tossed Moon should be released next April. I'm about halfway through writing it. Thanks for getting in touch, it's always a lovely boost to hear from a satisfied reader!

Hi Jennifer, Thank you for your lovely message, you've made my day. My next book is a short non-fiction: Henrietta Tayler, Scottish Jacobite Historian and First World War Nurse. That will be published next month. I'm currently working on Dance to the Storm, the sequel to Gathering Storm. That will be published later this year. Life has got in the way of writing over the last year, I'm afraid but I have other books on the stocks, so hope to make up for lost time over this year and next. I'll take your message as encouragement!
Intrigued that you have visited the places. I've had a few readers tell me that they have retraced Richard and Kate's steps in One Sweet Moment, also visiting the plaque in Waverley Station which marks the site of the old physic garden.
Just in case you're going to be in Scotland within the next two weeks (!), I'm doing a bookshop talk in Glasgow on Wednesday 13th April.
All the very best and thank you so much for getting in touch.

From a photograph I saw on the cover of a magazine. It showed a quietly handsome man. He had such sad eyes, though, and such an air of wistfulness. I pinned the cover up on the noticeboard near my computer and sat and studied it from time to time. Then one day I sat down and started writing and suddenly I was in 18th century Edinburgh with the man with the sad eyes. He was in pursuit of an illegal anatomical dissection and he was carrying a sword and wearing a red coat. My hero was a Redcoat. Eek! I hadn't expected that. Then he swept into the house of Patrick Rankeillor, surgeon-apothecary, anatomist and known Jacobite. That's when my hero came up against Rankeillor's daughter. Sparks flew and Gathering Storm was born.
