Yes, I am, Godwin. Sorry I am so late in responding to your question. I am just seeing it today for the first time. My book Ellen and The Hummingtree may be of interest to you. Ellen is a woman of faith and she shares her journey and some of her conversations with God. I write primarily about social issues drawing on my background and training as a psychospiritual practitioner.

I love books by Rohinton Mistry. I think this summer I will do some re-reading of his works.

My favourite fictional couple is that of Ellen Dawson and Jethro Tunkel; characters in Ellen and The Hummingtree. Why? Because Jethro came into Ellen's life at a time when she desperately needed him. His name means 'abundance' and this very word was the message Ellen would receive from God in the rock when she prayed and asked for help. "Abundance is coming" she was told. Ellen did not know that Jethro would be an answer to her prayer.

I think I have to say my mother was my greatest inspiration. It was with her encouragement that I began writing stories and poems in my childhood. Creative writing is an integral part of my life and always has been.

My most recent book is a novella titled Crabapple Court. This story was my submission in a 3-Day novel competition approximately two years before its completion and publication. I was inspired by a photo of a beautiful Crabapple tree in full bloom with its gorgeous pink flowers and this gave me the idea for the book's title. My desire to create something different inspired me to write this crime/mystery story about a child's disappearance.

My best advice for an aspiring writer would be to keep the faith in yourself; in your desire to write and your ability to reach your goal. Keep the ink flowing.

For me, the best thing about being a writer is the opportunity for free expression. Creative writing, whether I am writing a poem, a short story, a novel or a novella, is my passion; my joy.

For a little while I will allow writer's block to be what it is. This is because I believe there is reason for everything. Most writers will agree with me when I say that we are always writing -- whether it be in our thoughts, our dreams or sitting at the computer. Often for me the so-called "Writer's Block" is a time of trusting and actually waiting for the inspiration which is not far.

My current work in progess is titled "All Them Houses". I feel I have reached the point in my life's journey where it is time to write my memoir.
