Sorry I took so long! Been so focused on writing I haven't logged into Goodreads in forever!
1. They all have their little tricks, but I try to keep them from overlapping, so nothing exactly like the iron fist conjuration that I can think of. Though a number of the other disciplines are able to manipulate their own bodies as well. Floromancers are very difficult to intoxicate or poison for example.
2. I think Conan Sapa qualifies for that. Also ESLEDs strike teams are completely adept with firearms. However, I try to focus on magic and not on real world weaponry when it comes to combat since I'm much more interested in the Fantasy than the Urban when it comes to this series.
3. In addition to just generally being stronger/faster/etc, Faunamancer Ultras are able to enhance animals in certain ways I haven't got into yet, while Intras can only communicate and befriend animals. Ultra floromancers can do the same and also the speed at which they can force growth on a plant is extremely higher than an Intra.
4. They focus on using anima on preparing their companion (animal or a Construct) mostly prior to any sort of action. Forming necro-strings with a Construct or opening up communication with your animal does take some anima however, but it lasts for a long while after the connection is made.
5. Check out some of the shorts or King Henry and the Three Little Trips. Some of that in there, the Eva Reti story Shadow Running talks about sciomancer and how she uses it for example.

12 in the KHT, plus 3-5 in a wrap up series tentatively called "Worlds War Mancy". This being said I just completely a shorter side novel in the series called "King Henry and the Three Little Trips" that is about 200 pages long and might write a few more of them if I get the urge.
But mostly, 12 main books.

You're also not typically seeing the average corpusmancer in the series. Conan was augmented, Jason is something of a prodigy, and Isabel...is Isabel. Still, yes, that is a key advantage that corpusmancers have over other mancers. Assuming they can dodge said lightning bolts, fireballs, and zappy artifacts!

Look at what happened when King Henry had time to prep though. I think corpusmancer would lose a straight fight against most equivalent level mancer opponent who was well prepared, Especially a fully trained one (with all the latter life tricks). So the always on is a fair balance.

The ultra mancers with cumulative power seem to be the strongest in the long run. Artificers, Bone grinders, and facechangers unprepared the are weak but over a long period they accumulate their powers through artifacts and live or dead body manipulation they gain a tremendous advantage. Whats a minute pool versus month or years of pools still in effect. Artificer seem to be the top dog though being able to indirectly use the other mancy types but at the same time kept in check by the fact that other mancers can use the artifacts.

Yes! It's kind of a Canadian SNL/Monty Python named after the sketch group themselves. My only real memories of specifically watching it is being something weird and strange that was on HBO (when my parents would let me click through HBO or were otherwise occupied). But I thought it was a semi-decent reference and could just imagine some poor Canadian transfer student in the late 80s making the joke and it somehow sticking despite no one knowing what he/she was talking about.
