I am slowly working my way through the second draft of 'Ung'. Imagine a kind of alien Bilbo Baggins (good at card tricks, I might add, but plagued by freeze-nightmares). He is caught in a tragi-comic world, bordering imaginative realms of Stephen King and Douglas Adams.

It might be fun to live in a hobbit-hole. I'd probably be content not to go on adventures, just like Bilbo. Curiously, this likeable but reluctant hero (perhaps 'likeable' partly because he is reluctant) inspired me, to some extent, to write 'Ung', a sci-fi also partly inspired by a certain Arthur Dent. It'll probably come out towards the end of 2024 after the Dax trilogy.
